TAXI SERVICE COMMENDATION SCHEME
The Committee on Taxi Service Quality (CTSQ) and the Transport Department (TD) jointly organise the Taxi Service Commendation Scheme to promote quality taxi services, enhance the trade's image and compliment outstanding taxi drivers and taxi service management teams.
To recognise drivers and management teams providing quality services, a total of 24 awards will be granted under the Scheme, including 20 Quality Taxi Drivers, 1 Most Popular Taxi Driver, 2 "Good Driver, Good Service" awards, and 1 Quality Taxi Service Management Team.
Nominations are accepted year-round. Members of the public are welcome to nominate quality taxi drivers and taxi service management teams.
During the public voting period, members of the public could visit the scheme's official website to view the nominated drivers' commendable deeds and service performance, and cast their votes for the Quality Taxi Driver and Good Driver, Good Service award recipients.
After the end of public voting, a professional assessment panel will evaluate the driving records, conduct, in-service training records, commended behaviour and passengers' satisfaction of the drivers, as well as the management on taxi service quality, application of advanced technology in enhancing the efficiency and quality of taxi service, and social responsibility of the management teams.
20 nominees for the Quality Taxi Driver and 2 for the Good Driver, Good Service obtaining the highest combined scores from the public voting and professional assessment panel will receive the awards, while the driver given the highest score from public voting will be named the Most Popular Taxi Driver. In addition, the taxi service management team with the highest score from the panel will receive the Quality Taxi Service Management Team award.
