To promote the good services and image of the taxi industry, the Transport Department and the Committee on Taxi Service Quality (CTSQ) are co-organising the Taxi Service Commendation Scheme 2024.

To recognise the quality services provided by taxi drivers and management team, a total of 24 awards will be granted in the scheme this year, including 20 "Quality Taxi Drivers" awards, one "Most Popular Taxi Driver" award, two "Good Driver, Good Service" awards, and one "Quality Taxi Service Management Team" award.

20 nominees of the "Quality Taxi Drivers" award and 2 nominees of the "Good Driver, Good Service" award obtaining the highest combined scores from the public voting and a professional assessment panel will be given the awards, while the driver obtaining the highest score from the public voting will be given the "Most Popular Taxi Driver" award. Also, the taxi service management team obtaining the highest score from the professional assessment panel will be given the "Quality Taxi Service Management Team" award. After the public voting ends, the assessment panel will evaluate and select the winners of the various awards for taxi drivers and taxi service management teams. It is expected that the prize presentation ceremony will be held in the third quarter of 2025.

The scheme is open for nominations all year round. Members of the public can nominate quality taxi drivers and service management team at any time. Details of the 2025 scheme will be announced in due course.
